Initial Samples: Our First Tangible Look
Just before the holidays, we unwrapped our first set of samples from our manufacturing partner. Opening that package felt like an early Christmas gift, offering our first tangible glimpse of the collection we’ve been working so hard to create.
As newcomers to the fashion world, we’ve approached this process with unfiltered enthusiasm and a fresh perspective. This approach led to some wonderful results but also highlighted areas where we fell short. The experience has been invaluable in refining our vision and reinforcing the importance of collaboration and attention to detail as we work to bring this collection to life.
A Trip to Northern Portugal: Collaborating with the Experts
In early January, we traveled to Northern Portugal to meet with our manufacturing partner and take a crucial step toward finalizing our first collection. This trip proved to be transformative, giving us the insight and clarity needed to refine and finalize our designs.
Even more exciting, it sparked bold new ideas, including a vibrant expansion into fresh colors and the introduction of an innovative terry material so new it doesn’t even have a name yet. These discussions ultimately led to the addition of 7–8 stunning new pieces to our Beach to Street collection.
We left these meetings with an even stronger bond with our production partner and an elevated level of excitement that had us positively giddy on the train journey back to the Algarve.
A Week of Intense Refinement
Returning to the Algarve, we dove headfirst into turning our inspirations into reality. For the past seven days, it’s been non-stop effort from morning to night, preparing tech packs that refined our existing designs and defined our expanded portfolio. Every decision has been guided by our unwavering commitment to creating a collection that’s as innovative, versatile, and stylish as the vision we’ve held since day one.
Yesterday marked another milestone: submitting the updated tech packs to our manufacturer. This achievement reflects countless hours of brainstorming, designing, and refining. It’s an exhilarating step forward, bringing us closer than ever to launching a collection we’re immensely proud of.
The Timeline Solidified
We are thrilled to announce that our timeline is officially set! We’re now confident that we will meet our initial goal of shipping the entire Beach to Street collection in time for the 2025 beach season, this May and June.
We will kick off the program by launching our 30-day preorder campaign February 2025. This will provide us with the insights we need to produce only what’s required to satisfy customer demand. This approach aligns perfectly with our sustainability goals, minimizing waste while delivering exactly the high-quality, versatile pieces asked for by our customers.
