We took a risk by choosing a crowdfunding platform to launch our Beach to Street Collection, and it turns out the platform just wasn’t built for multi-item fashion collections like ours.
Despite hitting 50% of our funding goal in the first two hours, we quickly encountered major issues with payment processing, confusing checkout experiences, and unexpected tipping fees inserted by Indiegogo. We spent two weeks working to resolve these problems, but unfortunately, we couldn’t find a viable solution.
We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into this campaign, and it’s been a challenging experience. We’ve made the difficult decision to shut down the campaign, refund our supporters, and regroup. We’ve decided to move forward in a way that gives us full control over the customer experience and ensures a smooth and reliable process.
